The Mustad Ruthless Slow Fall Assist Rig is purpose-built to maximize hook-up rates when slow-pitch and slow-fall jigging for aggressive saltwater predators. Designed to complement slow-fall jigs, this assist rig keeps the hook positioned perfectly to capitalize on strikes that occur during the drop—when many fish commit.
Constructed with ultra-strong assist cord and Mustad’s razor-sharp hooks, the Ruthless Assist Rig delivers exceptional strength, flexibility, and durability under heavy load. Its balanced design allows the jig to flutter naturally while the assist hook remains free and ready, increasing strike efficiency without restricting action. Ideal for deep-water vertical jigging, this rig excels when targeting species such as tuna, amberjack, snapper, grouper, and lingcod.
Whether fishing offshore or in deep coastal waters, the Mustad Ruthless Slow Fall Assist Rig provides the confidence and performance serious jig anglers demand.
